Fingers Crossed – Identity Design
This is the logo and general branding I created for my boyfriend’s blog. I was exploring the idea of a simple motif (one set of crossed fingers) and its ability to create a really dynamic and intricate design. I think I managed to do this in this logo. I also created a .gif for the blog’s header on Adobe Flash but due to varying connection speeds, the fluidity of the animation was not smooth. That being my first time using flash since Year 10, I’m sure there was another method of going about things that would allow me to overcome that challenge. (You can see it here). I think that the overall design both typography and graphics show how simplicity can also be intricate and stimulating for the mind.

I also do the title graphics for each blog post. He supplies me with the artwork for the band/ producer/ event that he is writing about and I reinterpret it. I have been able to keep a consistency throughout the blog by using the same structure for each design. Here are a collection of a few I have created.
